Shai Ignatz

Shai Ignatz was born in Ashdod, Israel in 1969 and currently he lives and works in Tel Aviv. He teaches art at the University of Haifa, at the Sapir College and at the Shenkar College of Engineering and Design. He holds a B.F.A. and a M.F.A. at the Academy of Art and Design in Bezalel. His work has been exhibited at the Musée Carnavalet, Paris; at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, the Helena Rubinstein Pavilion for Contemporary Art, the Museum of Bat Yam, Haifa University, the Museum of Israeli Art, Ramat Gan, the Rosenfeld Gallery, the Festival White Night in Paris and the Menier Gallery, London. In 2007, he earned an award from the Legacy Heritage Fund Prize of the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, and in 2011, he was received an award from the Israeli Ministry of Culture. His work is in the collections of the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, the Museum of Bat Yam, and in the Schocken collection.
